Very special version of the Sounds Of Jerusalem record. Audio is identical to the Folkways release, but this was a special pressing made in Israel on the Hed-Arzi label. According to the record jacket notes it was pressed as a promotional record given by the Israeli government tourism department to attendees of the A.S.T.A Travel Congress held in 1959 in Havana, Cuba. This convention was for travel agencies from around the world. I do not know how many copies were pressed, however In doing research there were 2,500 attendees at the 1959 convention. My estimate is that the maximum number of copies pressed was 5,000. The album cover is gatefold and features advertisements for Israeli travel & tour groups as well as a El Al airlines.
