Omnivore's debut, FEEDING FRENZY, kicks off with the rousing blues-house of "Spandex," and the more Francophile "Querelle." Those two are the heaviest-hitters, but the beats are solid throughout. "Pinky," for instance, as a nice wobble to it, whereas "Email [[email protected]]" drifts off into ambience for a bit before the acid comes in to get you moving again. "Arriveste" comes on perhaps a little too heavy, but "Synthespian" goes back to the lighter touch which will fade into "Electrophone." The final, title track, goes back into heavy mode, with a recurring guitar screech that keeps things from getting too comfortable. A nifty album.
